Programs and Ministries

Christian Education
Learning about God and His Word are important at New Hope Lutheran Church. We offer a variety of classes each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. for both children and adults. For more information, contact Deborah LeFevers.
Fellowship

New Hope Lutheran Church provides the following opportunities for fellowship and growth:

 

New Hope Youth: Contact Deborah LeFevers for more information.

Women of the ELCA: Three women’s circles meet at various times each month for Bible study and fellowship; quarterly business meetings are also conducted. Contact Erna Brown for more information.

Good Timers: A group for our “golden” members that meets monthly to hear guest speakers and enjoy a luncheon. Contact Juanita Brawley at (704) 933-9183 for more  information.

Handbell Choir: Practices Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m.

Chancel Choir: Practices Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.

Community Service

Members of New Hope Lutheran Church reach out into the community in a number of ways, including:

 

Night Shelter: For several consecutive nights each quarter, we provide meals and volunteers at the Salvation Army Night Shelter in Concord. For more information, contact the church office.

CCM Food Pantry: We support Cooperative Christian Ministries’ food pantry by collecting several types of food items each month. Our quarterly Noisy Bucket offerings also support CCM. For more information, contact the church office.

Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts: Troop 47 is for sixth- through 12-graders; Pack 47 is for first- through fifth-graders. The Scouts meet Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. during the school year. For more information, contact Scoutmaster Bob Harmon.

NA: The Narcotics Anonymous (NA) support group meets twice a week: Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. For more information, contact Tim Aderhold at (704) 933-1252.

Family Promise: We support this nonprofit organization, whose goal is to alleviate homelessness by fostering the development of networks that provide shelter, meals and assistance for homeless individuals. For more information, contact the church office.
